Upgrades to run Smarty Sr. POD

Ok,
I feel kinda stupid asking this because I know the scoop with 12v's but not these silly common rails. What does everyone recommend for upgrades to an 05 to run a Smarty POD at the different levels? I know about the tranny upgrades so we can skip those.

Lift pump
Flux 2 Injectors
62mm turbo minimum
springs, studs
CP3 parts kit or upgraded CP3

Those modest upgrades and fully built trans/tc should put you in the 550-600hp range easy and be very nice daily driver.
 
RAMCTD...thanks for this list, but I'm more looking for the "if i set my smarty to 9 and drive, what will break" parts/upgrades. I know there are tons of things to take advantage of even more power.

Well if you take care of the transmission, TC and flexplate, SW9 will probably not run as good as SW7. It might run a little hot and based on the Wastegate setting and Torque Management the turbo will not be able to keep up. Might not have enough fuel out of the lift pump, some do some don't. But common sense and gauges to tell you when to back off, you probably won't break anything.
