Im not goign to stir **** but I know personally it doesnt take 2 hours to take a compressor cover off, hell I can swap a turbo in a duramax in 2 hours. There was speculation about compressor wheels getting changed on the turbo during this time, no one will eve no nor will I care, I dont care for that matter because nobody fallows all the rules anyways all I can say is go to schieds but bring tools because you'll be taking the compressor covers off again.

these are the 2.6 rules for schied. not really the same rules as we are running around here. a lot of the trucks i have teched might not pass because we use a 2.65" plug for the 2.6 class. for what its worth all three trucks i checked with the compressor housings off would pass.

Turbocharger:
The vehicle is limited to a single turbocharger; the inducer bore on the compressor housing may be
no larger than 2.6 inches measured at the smallest diameter of the compressor Cover inducer
bore. Cutting down or nipped compressor wheels are not acceptable.

from what they said they would not pass it has to be a 2.6 66mm wheel and bigger wheel would not pass they get bumped to the 2.8 class

whats up with the hitch requirments, bumper can not be notched or removed, does this imply that roll pans are illegal?

I love it!

Congrats to Ryan, Evan, and Matt G. One of the best compliments you can ever get from your fellow competitors is to be accused of cheating when you are not. Not to mention they donate $100 for your troubles of proving it to them. It is very cool to have such a competitive class. 1st 335, 2nd 331, 3rd 327, 4th 324. The top 5 have been switching places all summer.

hey kyle....thanks. yea we have been back and forth all year. it has been a fun year for sure. great competition. also it is a pretty nice feeling when you get accused of cheating and prove people WRONG. it just makes it all the more worth it. it is just stupid though that some would even complain just because they got beat.

The pro stock winners were

1. Kyle Michael
2. Scott Blair
3. Mike Schinlau
4. Matt Gainer
5. Ryan Hurst

I will have the rest of the winners for the Street Stock tomorrow. I will also have the updated points for the classes tomorrow too.

Thanks,

Bridgett

i just read the rules on eep thats the first i've seen a rule on the compressor wheel. if the top 5 guys were checked at urbana and who seem to be in the top 5 at every pull. why keep pulling there housings unless someone makes an unrealistic pulls.

Well because some people are pissed because they've spent an ass load of money on a truck that keeps getting spanked. Personally I'd like to buy one of those bad mo'fo turbos that will get you that extra 20' on .002" of extra wheel! HAHA

um......ok so what your saying is Evan and Ryan are either complete morons and just couldn't figure out how to remove V-band compressor housings. Or aside from being weekend truck pullers they're also magicians and can swap compressor wheels in front of about 20 or more people without being seen. HAHA I'm sure Vegas is looking for a few new acts.

It's like christmas morning everytime I get on here and see what new excuse someone comes up with. Just face it, these trucks run GOOD! Is that so hard to believe? :hehe::poke:

If you would like to call them idiots be my guess but I was there and it took damn near 2 hours and also there were like 3 people in the engine bay,,,, is it really that hard? especially a v-band housing. those people in front of the truck were also crank it up diesel people, Like I said I dont care so im goign to drop it, IM STATING THAT IM NOT CALLING THEM MORONS, but only answering your question. :rules:

So let me get this straight. You were standing right there and still believe the rumor someone switched wheels? :what: The reason it took almost 2hrs is, if you can believe this, the trucks were HOT! Also it's hard to get the housing off with the top of the intake manifold in front of it. Not to mention wiring harnesses, outlet pipes ect. And as hard as this is for some to believe I'm not chipping the fins off a compressor wheel just because your in a hurry. Evan scratched the hell out of the inside of his housing removing his. I also wouldn't want to get done too early, might make some people feel they didn't get their $100.00 worth! haha

I guess since Matt beat me in the pro stock class I should make him remove his also just so he doesn't feel left out. :hehe: If you like rumors I heard Matt Gainer runs nitrous in his tires and he's been known to put the right tire on the left side and the left on the right, better check into that!:bang

I need one of them fancy compressor wheels that magically shrink when you take the cover off. Hell I'd love to know how you would change the wheel in front of that crowd of people. These guys are straight shooters and are out to be competitive with thier legal trucks.

Guess that means if I build a 2.6 Dmax I'm going to need to relocate the charger so I can pop the cover off at a whim to prove to everyone that it is legal. Not sure how everyone would like a Dmax with a charger sitting in the passenger side wheel well running in the 2.6 class.

CHEATER!!! See Jason due to thermal dynamics of the extended distance from engine to the exhaust housing, doing this would create a super heated suction effect who's results are still unknown. Scientists are still thinking this is what happened at Chernobyl, and we don't want that around our children! (please think about the poor little children) This would be similar to the suction effect you get when you break driveline parts at high RPM:kick:, you know when your underwear gets sucked up in to the unknown. :poke::hehe:

Did you say high RPM and Ford in the same post? Not possible. But I do understand that suction effect.......

maybe u should build a d-max then it would get down the track???:poke: I wasnt the one who had them teched everyone knows who it was. I didnt even have a truck there so why would I care. I pull for fun not to compete thats why my truck isnt a tralier *****.

I wasnt standing right there there was a crowd of about 20 people that you coldnt get any closer and then with 3 people in a engine bay, you cant see anything???

Are you sure it was the same trucks? Evan is sneeky, he could have put his puller in stealth mode and swapped for his daily driver. That's why they turned the lights out so nobody would notice it wasn't the same color. Everyone is in on the conspiracy, even the fair grounds. :hehe:

This one is heading into the weeds fast. Everyone take a break and cool down. I would rather not close this one just yet, so lets be civil and it will stay open.

hey why dont you build a truck that is half as bad a**as jason's then get on here and say something....until then you may wanna keep the stupid comments to yourself before you make your self look like and even bigger idiot than before....just a thought!

darn someone finally found my hiding spot....guess ill have to move it. i thought the tires were never gonna be found....guess i was wrong! lol

as far as I know and videos prove I have made it farther down the track than he has I like how you guys take everything so personal on the internet then when your at the track you dont run your jaws. How about you build your own truck and not use daddy's money.*bdh*
