V8 guage cluster

I've got one out of a V10 truck, everything I've read says it will work. Best thing is it will say my truck only has 43,000 miles on it :D

Would be nice eh? Mileage isn't stored in the cluster though. :charger:

I wondered about that, but I was told that it was? Oh well, mileage doesn't matter much when you only add 300'+/- a week LOL

It is stored in the cluster, I bought a v8 cluster off of Ebay that had 55,000 on it. That cluster now has 57000 on it. Mine also came out of a 2001 and went into a 2000. Truck originally had 176000+/- miles.

I think by law you are required to denote an odometer change.

You'd still have to talk me into selling it... LOL And you are right, technically it is illegal to tamper with odometer settings, though I guess just swapping odometers your not technically tampering, you are replacing ;) Also, anyone interested in buy a truck that has that swap done should be able to tell the difference between a gas dash and diesel dash.

Yea, actually the law reads if the mileage can't be set the same, then it most be noted.
