Wastegate Trick?

nooooooo!!!! dont get a intercooler. they are not worth the money at all.

rattlinram kinda hinted something there but i dont know if it was on purpose. his "hy35 runs fine UNLESS the comp is on 5x5". thats why you should just get a new turbo. if you can afford a intercooler then just get a bigger/better turbo and be done with it!
 
Ok no intercooler then. I run my comp on 5x5 all the time, my problem is I don't think I have the fuel supply to keep up with the chip but hopefully that'll be fixed soon. Thanks for the input everyone
 
Comp on 5x5 all the time the VP won't last long...

Like said about I wouldn't waste the money on an intercooler till you have enough air to justify it...

I'm assuming your trans or clutch is done?

I know you can get them off of eBay and im sure some vendor on here sells them, they are cheap. If you have an edge comp, it should have came with one.

i used to run my comp on 5x5 all the time and never had a problem. the lift pump is what needs to be upgraded. as long as the vp44 is getting enough fuel lubrication that thing will last a long time. i have a 300 dollar bully dog fuel kit and have never had a issue.
 
I've run mine like that for about close to 2 years now and haven't had any prolems with the pump. I don't drive around town with it to the floor but that seems to be the best setting for fuel mileage on my truck. My tranny's been done but not fully built.

You can't put it in a vise and open up the eye? Got to the tool section and clamp it down then go get a big hammer and whop it. Tell the employee you want to test some tools. :D
 
See what they say when you fire up a 3.5" grinder and cut half the hook off and put it back on the shelf. :hehe:

The high school girl working the counter would crap herself. LOL
 
i work at home depot and i will say that they are morons there!!! oh i drive the forklift at night.
