So in my build I decided to go with a mechanical lift pump. I had a Sprint Car Light weight Sprint Series pump laying around the shop. This pump is basically the typical Sprint Series pump, just a little lighter. I have searched over and over on how these are being plumbed. I'm finding that I can't seem to find two setups that are the same. I see some people run with a high speed check valve, some with out. Some with a check valve in the pump return to he tank. Some with a regulator, some just a check valve as a regulator. I would like to keep it as simple and compact as possible, with reliability in mind as it will be on the street. I was curious if I can run the pump with a direct feed to the P7100 and have a regulator on the return side of the pump to relieve the excess fuel pressure in the Injection pump case. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
