is fuel prices going to slow down the pullers. seems like a cupple pepole have already said less trucks are showing up. what do you all think

I think so, I think it will hurt the industry in general. In years past people got trucks who maybe didn't need trucks, got diesels that really didn't need diesels. Check out the resale of diesel trucks, they have already taken a hit. The high fuel prices are eating into peoples disposable incomes.

It is a shame but most of us will look alot harder at pay outs vs. miles from home. hard to justify $500 in fuel for a shot at winning $300

Agree, I was planing on heading to the DHRA Utah National and then over to SDX this year but that was before fuel went over $4.00 a gallon, its at $4.44 a gallon here now. I won't be heading that way unless the fuel goes below $4.00 befor August :(

it aing going to slow me down to much ,but i dont travel over a hour and a half most the time. i know you guys with the 3.0 trucks usaly have longer trips, so i could seewhere it is hurting you more. do you think it will last and kinda bring truck pullin to a hault or just slow it down for a summer.your guys trucks alsocost a lot more to keep runnin than my 2.6

$4.50 a gallon here today. I think I am going to have to pull back the schedule a bit. I have already made a habit of going slower to save some fuel.

You drove like a grandpa before, better turn your four-ways on before you leave the driveway or your liable to get rearended!

Never going to get better. If I see JerrodGlover going any slower I'll pull him over and give him a ticket for impeding traffic.

You will see diesel over $5.00, most people are predicting $5.50 will be the point that the demand will actually go down.

:clap:that is great Gene! Unfortionatly I am in a wedding june7th people need to learn weddings should be in the winter so not to interfear with important stuff like pulling season.

Stupid weddings!!!Well maybe the divorce celebration can be at a truck pull.

Send your truck, anyway, I'll pull it.

For comparison, that is over double what the purse was last year, at the same pull.
