Thanks, and I'll post back some info after the weekend. Maybe even a video If I can swing it....
Ryan

Well I said I'd report back, truck ran good. Not sure if any better though, like I said I didnt expect to see a gain from the dual feed but just the knowing that I have fuel from both directions and the poss. of better cooling and volume is enough. Everone in the pits... people that know nothing about diesels right off the bat noticed and mentioned the 2 big fuel lines..... one guy said "what is that engine, and where's the carb"... I laughed and pointed to the IP and told him it was a new dual line Holley:hehe:, sad part was...... he believed me:doh:
A guy there got great video of a couple passes but he burned them to a DVD and it wont allow me to save it to the computer or post the videos..

It's not a "bolt-on" option

feel free to do what you want

well no kiddin...

13mm plungers are not a bolt on option either

i believe all 13mm pumps should have this mod

or any pump that has to come apart for that matter

will it make more power?

if so it prolly wont be much...but i think the pump will last a lot longer

so does josh at woodruff diesel

he has never seen one plumbed this way but he is shipping me a pump body so hes gonna

*ps - ryan, your truck looks like its leavin hard in that avatar shot!

you know nhra has a couple of index classes that you may be interested in

super comp is 8.90 and super gas is 9.90

heads up classes are a lot of money - i love index racin!

don tanklage nmra top gas (8.20) champ

After reading this post, here is my question...

If you have your injection pump flowed on the bench and they balance everything out so all barrels flow the same and are phased correctly, this would be based upon their current fuel feed setup (lets assume single feed stock location). Which equates to the highest pressure and coolest (most dense) fuel at # 6 and the least pressure and least dense fuel at # 1.

Now you go home and install your dual feed setup, you now have more pressure and more dense fuel at # 1, # 2, etc. which throws some of the work done by the shop off?

Wouldn't it be important to have a shop balance your pump with the same fuel feed setup that you plan to run?

Just thinking out loud...

common sense screams yes

but shhh....you will have a bunch of red necks breathin down your throat (lol)

weston, i am sorry for misspelling your name and appreciate the thumbs up on my idea.

thank again - means a lot

don tanklage

ps - to the nay sayers: in a short while you will start seeing pumps modified and plumbed as i have suggested. will you come back to this thread and appologize or give me a attaboy? prolly not. thats okay. cuz i know you will be feeling pretty dumb every time you see one, and rightfully so...

curious how weston (and others) answer the above question

The balance rate is set @ idle...

being that the pump is balanced at idle would that not make it even more important to have a even flowing system?

i understand that tank's true tee return mod™ © (lol) does not make it perfectly even - 1 & 6 will get the coolest fuel and 3 & 4 the warmest...

but it will be a heck of a lot closer than doin it any other way

They're also buying stock Dodge turbos for 100 bucks each. Are they gonna drill and tap those too ?

Closing this thread....an epic level of tardness has been achieved.
