What is a "stock appearing" factory charger?

The reason they don't have inducer rules in "workstock" is because it is a pain in the a@@ to check on a Duramax. That is why most brush pulls are just run what ya brung and hope ya brought enough. Otherwise most just run common 2.6 class rules.

Checking inducer size in workstock shouldnt be any different than any other class.

Im working on a 3rd gen turbo fitted with a 1st gen exhaust housing what would the opinion on it being stock appearing after all its parts of 2 stock turbos.
 
work stock was a good class for about 5 minutes, then people started "building" trucks to run in it......after that......not worth it to even try to run with them, just step up to 2.6 and run with them, the chargers are fairly cheap and you dont have to worry about this rule, or that rule, or what someone thinks is stock or not......you got a 2.6 plug and thats it.....your either in or out.....
 
Its not so easy to just step up to 2.6.

I could put my injectors, an HX35 and an external gate on my truck, and bump the timing to 20* along with a rack plug and run work stock and be pretty darn competitive around here I believe. I think I could probably get in a win every now and then.

To be competitive in 2.6 I would have to go to bigger injectors, a locker or spool in the rear, some good axles, 25*+ timing, either a mean 12mm pump or a 13mm pump, upgraded rear driveshaft, driveshaft loops, crossbolts, etc.....

Id rather just make my truck run the best i can for the work stock rules, especially since i drive it everyday anyways, instead of trying to compete in the 2.6 class which there is no way I have the money to come close to competing in.

I wont even be able to compete regularly in a work stock class, but i am slowly wanting to build my truck to that point. Id like to show a few D-Max's that a 12 valve can still kick some butt in work stock if properly set up.

thats what Im going to do step up to 2.6 I just need to get the funds. Im just stuck either as a good workstock truck or a 2.6 truck that gets my a$$ handed to me
 
around here the work stock is a 2.6 inducer size.....atleast last night it was.....they had work stock and i think street stock......not a surprise but the same trucks ran in both.........
