What is this?

Bought my truck (1995 2500) with a bunch of performance mods already done to it and it has been rigged up in all sorts of ways. Truck use to be an auto now has a G56 (previous owner) Found this hiding in the cab. Any idea what it is? Some sort of shaft but what's it from?

Input shaft for transfer case

So when the t-case is bolted to the trans the output shaft of the trans splines into this? Correct?

Any chance you could tell what t-case the shaft is for?

Yea the smooth female end of the shaft you have protrudes out of the tcase and the output of the trans slides in it. I can't tel for sure. how many splines is the internal splines of the smooth side?

I count 23 spline.

If the truck was an auto before he had to of swap shafts in the t-case. Most likely the original shaft..
