I currently have a Tial 38mm external wastegate to regulate the stock VGT over a S475 (in the works). Will this be enough wastegate or do I need to step up to a 44mm wastegate?
I'm plan on running 50hp nozzles. I'm not looking for huge numbers (only about 650 whp). I know the VGT turbines flow good when opened up, but they are electronically controlled and I can't modify the programing myself.
I would imagine the 38 would work in that application nice and compact helps as well. I am running a 50 and it can flat stop you in your tracks but it is large and would not be fun to try to fit in there. Your tuner should be able to make your VGT open up whenever they want you might talk to them I believe they do custom stuff on request
