so i have a 94 2wd and im getting tired of the one wheel spinnin show. so what is the best thing to do? axle swap? loaded carrier? this is my dd and i do plan on bumping her up to 500-600hp. so what would be the best thing to do?
thanks everyone!

Since it's a daily driver, I think I'd weld the rear-end. That way, you'll hate driving it in wet weather or whenever you need to turn sharp...... then you can convert it to a full-time drag racing vehicle!!!

Used power loks sometimes go cheap on ebay. Put some new clutches in it, and swap it.

Without a doubt, put a detroit true trac in it. It is a great piece of gear. I used to DD and sled pull with my truck and it worked great in both applications.

I believe the ad is wrong, 3.73 and 3.55 are the same unit. 4.10, 4.56 and etc are the same. You do need to check for how many splines on your axles they are 32 & 35.

I'd find a factory LSD. I restacked the clutches in mine and it's pretty aggressive. On pavement you don't notice it unless the tires are burning. On gravel it's like a spool.

On Ice and Wet pavement it's like a spool as well. Fun, but dangerous for the wife or someone borrowing the truck that's not used to big torque off the line and the tight rear end clutch setup.....

That is the nice thing though, you can stack the clutches how ever you want. Mine was set up in the middle of the road stock. I didn't HAVE to set it up that aggressive. I like the adjustability.

With the aggressive clutch I have, the wife refuses to drive my pickup- fine by me. And she is the only one that I let drive it. Everyone thinks they need to put it through its paces. If you can't appreciate how hard I worked and saved to make my rig what it is, you don't get to sit behind the wheel.

That's the Power-Lok. I got mine off ebay, paid $250 including new clutches. I have mine setup tight, but it doesn't get driven in the rain and snow. If I did, I'd back off on the plates. But like you said, it's nice they're adjustable.
