Teddy Bear ran a detroit true trac in an otherwise stock Dana 80 for a good while without a single problem. He even broke an axle and didnt break the locker. They are a very strong unit and work great. Thats what id like to have in mine eventually. They are smooth as can be on the street.
I put this in mine LOCKER and i have 35+ pulls on it. Ohh its also a Dana 70. I also have newer rear u joints, and ladder bars. Locker works great on the street also, it unlocks when turning but stays locked up while straight.
Dustin stop being a ***** we both know that your truck is going to stay in the shed until the next pull lol just weld the sucker solid and go pullin. cheap and fast resolution to your problem
bump....so whats the consensus. Will the true-trac be sufficient enough or should i be looking into anything else. Im a total newb with this rear end/differential stuff? I read teddy bears thread from a while back and he broke an axle shaft in his D80. Anyone else had that happen?
