Is 90 ddp injectors to much for a daily driver with a stock charger al ready runnig an edge box and it doest even clean up the smoke from it. the truck does tow about 8000 lbs when needed mostly just a drive anywhere truck

I think 90's are about the max I would go... I ran 60's with my edge and it would still smoke pretty decent with it on 5x5. But with the box off or turned down low I towed with it all the time.

Auto or manual transmission?

Thats the max I'd run on a manual transmission, and bigger than I'd run on an automatic.

Pleanty of people run them (and bigger) on the stock charger, but I don't like watching the EGTs when I drive and tow.

should have put more info it a 2001 4-4 yes its an auto stock charger, has 4.10 gears, 5in exhuast with a k-n cold air kit

I would be more worried about your trans than the EGT's... stock dodge autos don't last long over stock HP :(

My 98 with ddp 110's hx35 and a built tranny tows awesome. no real worries towing 15k+ I leave the fueling box off most the time

tore it out at 90,000 miles didnt go extreme with upgrades triple disk tq upgraded vb more line pressure better shift kit, seems to hold up to me. im sure they are alot stonger trannys out there but mine works fine for me, for now

I was just about to say a better TC and VB would be minimum... you'll probably be alright with what you have. Though, you never know... lol

The 2001 auto uses the HY35 turbo which has a 9cm exhaust housing. Depending on which edge box you are using, you are already injecting more fuel then that turbo can safely handle. I know, been there done that. Put the price of the injectors towards a turbo. BTW do you have gauges?

use got them from genos, boost max is like 38psi , egt on box only is maybe 1200, with the bd switch on its a little higher. the truck getting to much fuel and not being able to tow is a concern for me. Just my thoughts is when a truck cant tow anymore everyday the truck just ain't much of a truck anymore its just a toy. But i really depends on how you use your truck, if your not worried about towing or have two trucks them it dont matter.
I think i answered my own question i need to worry about more air then fuel it more later thanks guys

You only get to 1200? I can hit 1450 with my quad on 10.

I drove my truck for years with Jammer 5 150hp rated 130 actual HP injectors with a stock turbo. Truck towed just fine when the box was turned down to level 1 or 2.

When towing over 10K, had a to use a little common sense with how much throttle input I commanded on the big long high altitude grades in Utah, Idaho, and Montana.

With less than 10K trailer, I could tow all day long using the cruise control and running 5th gear. In my opinion, if you can tow in high gear and use the cruise control, your truck has normal usability.

All that said, you are already pushing your turbo to it's maximum capability. If you add more fuel, you'll get marginal extra HP and more a lot more heat.

And be warned, your stock HY35 is one of the fastest spooling turbos out there. Any aftermarket upgrade will feel a little bit doggy, and sluggish off the line with a lot more mid range and top-end horsepower.

they is a guy on here that sells kits to add a k31 to my factory turbo, i think that should be what i do next.
