Where are all of the older trucks?

I have been on the lookout for a late 60's/early 70's Pete for a project, from time to time. Where do they all disappear to?

Squashed. Most wreckers are shipping engines/ axles/ driveline to Mexico/ south America too. By the container full.

smashed or parted out. Took me forever to find my 66 pete and even harder to find parts for it
