which are bigger 8-14inj.or5-24inj.

From an area standpoint, the 5x.024 is more.
8 holes times pi * (.014/2)^2 is 0.0012315 sq. in.
5 holes times pi * (.024/2)^2 is 0.0022619 sq. in.

However, there is much more to injector size than just hole area. Angle, feed holes and other internal design can change the injector as much as 75HP in my testing.

brandon your scaring the guy LOL he just wanted to know what was bigger LOL LOL

the 8 hole injectors would theoretically burn more efficient because of the fuel distribution inside the cylinder. on the other hand you may need more fuel than the 8x.014 but i dont know your end goal.

thanks i was just wondering my are dual feed 5x24 my friend has a set of 8x14 which we took apart they are single feed so i dont think they would flow as much, and they didn't have the orfice taken out eather

That is not true in many different scenarios. Idling or very low load, the 8 holes probably do run more efficient.

When boost comes up and cylinder air density increases, sometime you need few holes with a thicker fuel stream to fully penetrate the compressed air and reach the outer edges of the combustion chamber.

PM Smokem for a link to great 12+ page research article regarding injector hole size, spacing, shape, and nozzle wall thickness.
