which clutch is is the best all around for every day driving and towing and so on. south bend , valair, hays, center force, or zoom . running about 350 to 400 hp and let me know which brand and which one u guys prefer thanks

southbend all the way, centerforce, hayes, and zoom are a waste of money, i love the southbend i have in my truck, if you want a dual disc i'd get a 3250, smooth engagement, and plenty of room to grow for power

For those power levels you really don't need to step up to a dual disk.

I think the Southbend OFE would hold, but the FE would hold for sure. The FE is a little more grabby than a stock clutch, but manageable. The dual disk is the best of both worlds, but costs accordingly.

The Valair options are also a great option. Many folks have tried them and are very happy with them.

I've also had a Haisley dual disk, which you may consider. I switched to a Southbend for several reasons, I won't bore you with them here.

I would avoid most other options. Really need a diesel specfic vendor with experience. Just my humble opinion.

Duals discs seem like a steal nowadays... I paid the same amount for my first FE that they are charging for the 3250 and 3600 now..

Buy a light pedal dual disk such as the 3250, I have had nothing but good dealings with South Bend, so that is who I would recommend. I put about 100k on a South Bend single FE, it held up WAY better than it should have for what I put it through :bang If I had it to do all over again though it would have been a DD from the get go, they just drive way better than the FE to me. Especially backing a trailer in.

love my south bend DD but its really grabby, my neighbor has a valair and likes it to, both good companys

talked to Dan(Valair) at Ts he was workin on a street dualdisc with like organic material for extra smooth i would give him a call

Love my South Bend. A good friend fas a Zoom, I'd stay away. Just my $.02

I run an Allied on my truck and the thing has held up fine. Not to many people know about them, but they make clutches for pulling tractors and like I said I have been very happy with mine. They are also very reasonable price wise.

Valair or Southbend, I would go with a valair organic Double Disc if you dont plan on doing anything except for daily driving and/or towing.

southbend has come a long way since i bought mine from what customers are telling me, mine rattle like a MOFO with the clutch pushed in, but im hearing that they are quieting them down quite a bit. the rattle doesn't bother me, but some people get quite annoyed by anything but a silent clutch. i have sold a good 50 southbend's from the OFE to the iron giant and haven't had even one come back for warranty work. i've got about 8000 miles on my dual disc and the more miles i put on it the better it feels. just my observation

i went with valair 13" single organic, its smooth as stock and holds my power just fine, i dont do burnouts or try and show off so i went with what i needed to hold my power. id say if you plan on doing burnouts or launchin in 4wd or any kind of shinanigans like that go with a double disk either south bend or valair..
