Which injectors with my Aurora 4000?

I'm running a set of Jammer 4's now. But they are smokey and hot so I was thinking about switching them out for F1's. Probably going to go with Mach 4's, but was wondering if I had enough air for maybe Mach 5's? Would 5's be any more smokey or hot than my Jammer 4's? I know they are more HP but with how everyone says the F1's burn so clean was wondering if they'd smoke any more than I have now.

Right now I run around on just injectors and smarty on even number settings most of the time. Then when I want to I'll turn on the comp to 5x5 for the power. When everything is on kill it'll bury the pyro if I leave my foot in it... When comp is off it'll get toasty but I can drive around the heat... Doesn't hardly smoke at all with comp off.

I use the truck to drive back n forth to work, drag race, and a few pulls in the summer... No towing.

Spec of the A4000 are:
Compressor Wheel Inches Millimeters
Inducer 2.48 63.00
Exducer 3.63 92.28
Exhaust Wheel Inches Millimeter
Inducer 3.00 76.43
Exducer 2.76 70.14

how hot is hot? smokey even in the winter?
My 4's were clean but I think they fell short of my hp goals.
I would shoot for the 5's or even 6's. I had to be careful in the summer with the 4's but I'm in a "clean city". On the dyno and pulling in August the 64/14/65 and even the ps 62/14 cleaned them up all the way. Even with the so pump, drag comp, and smarty. I didn't like the revo and installed the original smarty software to help spool.

In the winter there is less smoke, but I don't drive with the comp on very much in winter anyway due to roads. Comp off no smoke in winter.

In the summer once the turbo lights, everything on kill, smoke clears up.... Haven't pulled with the current setup but at the drag track it'll hit 1800*.... Of course it only gets that hot for a few seconds before I let off at the end of the track. My everyday driving mode (comp off, smarty on 4 or 6) I can get to 1200 if I hold it wide open, lil smoke on the bottom, but none at all after about 5-10psi of boost.

I don't mind spiking up during a pull or drag racing, cuz I really don't pay much attention to the pyro during competition anyways. If my everyday driving won't get any worse I would think it'll be ok...

Anybody went from jammer 4's or 5's to Mach 4's or 5's and noted the smoke and temp difference?

Not to derail my own thread but you explain that a lil more? I'm running the revo sw and I do struggle spooling, but it feels like it launches harder with the revo sw and the tq management set to 6... I think my problem spooling is simply driver error... lol Cuz when I get it to spool correctly and launch it, I can definitly feel it pull harder on the launch.... but for some reason can't get the timing down with the lights at the track.... :tree:

why are you having problems with the lights??

build boost in the first stage...when u get to ur desired boost, scoot up to the second stage then wait there already boosted for the green light

That's my problem is I've been trying to spool in the 2nd stage... only been to track 3 times in my life so still learning... But I was worried about sitting up on the converter for too long waiting for the other guy to stage...

i tried the revo software and it didn't feel as strong as the original software. I didn't have much time to mess with it but the old software was great on 6 & 8 for spooling. The truck is a real dog without it. The revo has different adjustments but with time you could find one that works for you but you might try the old software one day.

You runnin stock converter?

No Goerand triple disk.

Boost at the track if I remember right was 48lbs... I've never seen higher than that with this turbo... It pretty much instantly goes from about 20 to 48lbs... and it's an 1/8th mile track and my 60' times suck! since I had troubles getting spooled. My best time in the 1/8th though was 8.85 if I remember right... my reaction times and 60' times suck... I'll work on that this season...
