which tires to buy baja claws or sts

we are goin tri cooper discoverer st's next year They look like they would be a good all around tire. has anyone tried them?

Yes blair run's em on his 24v dually in keeps busting ring n pinion's. I just ordered a set of 33x12.50x17 sts hope there here before the weekend.

iam runnin the cooper st have had good luck with them this year just have to find the right air psi for the type of track your runin. all the tracks around here are very loose so iam way down on the air psi.

ive run 33" sts all year. now i have dual sts in the rear and wont run anything else. we dont have the clay tracks out here, but we see the soft, hard, sandy, mud, and virtually asphalt tracks and they have been good. more guys are going with them too. just my $.02

procomps that last? where did you find those... I have less than 5000 miles on mine and they are half gone. I will be lucky to see another 4000 miles out of them before they are not legal for the road.

I have 25k on my current tires and have rotated them 3 times but I put a depth gauge to them and they arent quite half I like them I think they are a little hard for pulling though

well tire shop called me back about 6 this afternoon and said it was gna be 4 weeks before they could get em in. Now i dont know what im gna do.

I have a set 0f 35 st's for sale. Basically brand new! pm for details

well checked on some atz and mtz and claws and it was gna be a 4 to 6 week wait on em, so i just got a set of trxus mt 33x12.50x17 will be here tommrow. has any one ran them?

i know some guy that have ran them on jeeps and they seemed
to wear pretty fast not sure how well they will do pulling but they did good in about all offroad conditions for jeeps

truxes mt are super soft one of my friends had them on a 12 valve and they lasted maybe 15k or less i dont know how they do pulling though

call National Tire and wheel in Wheeling, WV

ntwonline.com

when everyone else told me last yer that 33x12.50 R16 STS's were on backorder and couldnt get them...i called NTW and they had 32 tires in stock, shipped them that day UPS ground and i had them 2 days later.

i know it wont help you for this weekend, but its better than 4 weeks. just call rather than order online, and ask them if they have that size in stock and they can tell you.

I have run
Toyo 35" m/t
BF a/t 35"
STS 35"
STS 33" Duals
The STS's have worked the best with our type of tracks and the BF a/t were very good untill I turned the HP up a bit more. $.02

I have the hankook dynapro atm's on mine right now. they work great for on road and in the snow and they wear like iron. the mud ones shouldn't be that much different. I only have one pull on them and they worked very well.

Yeah... thats them. damn maybe i wont be getting a set.

If its a puller only get the 285 BFG look-a-likes from that website I posted. If its still pulling double duty as a street truck get the new Hankook AT/M's. Hearing really good reviews on them, and you can get a 285 in a E range if you still tow with the truck. That's what I'm gonna put on my tow rig next year.

BTW, when I said out of 7 pulls this year I meant that I broke the planetary at one pull and the yoke at another. Both times I had the RT03's on there though.

I just switched from 35" BFG AT's to 33" STS's and it was like night and day. Granted my AT's were around 60% tread, but man what a difference...

You didn't tell me you have 35" bfg's!!! I would have traded you for the 33'' sts's I had!:bang

I didn't mention it because they were on a 17" wheel... I switched to 16" wheels since the tires are so much cheaper. The A/T's look great on the Excursion though!
