Wow!! I REALLY like the sounds of that setup... but how much more would a set of those cost vs. a 64/71/13SS and a S480 1.32a/r?
Lets just say CHEAPER than HTT and I.I.!

I have 4:10's and a 6 speed! should i stick with the 62 or whould the 64 be better?
For a daily driver with a manual transmission, a 62/65/14 with an S475 might be the best choice. Their are many options available, and we offer all of them as well. This kit with a little water will support upward of 800hp. The trouble with a manual is the unloading between gear changes.
If you go too large, you will find it takes a bit longer to rebuild boost. This doesn't make for much fun on the street, plus all the added smoke and loss in fuel mileage, from having turbos that take too long to spool. Sometimes less is more, reminds me of camshafts in V8's, most wanted more cam than they needed and performance suffered. In a world of compromise, decide what suits your needs the most, as in how you drive and where you drive in the power range. That will help you more than all the confusing options that abound.
Your NOT going to get 800 to the wheels with a 62/65/14 and a S475, even if you ad water. NOS, then yes.
Shane makes very good sense on "less is sometimes more".
Along those lines and thinking 1/4 miles what specs should the s480 or s475 have for also spooling quickly and making max power for 1/4 mile runs?
I know there are a Gazillion possibilities with those turbos so it would be nice to see what you guys are running with BEST success for their BIG Huffer.
Did I read recently that there is some Super Duper S475 version out there recently? Don't recall who's making or pushing it.???
Anyone?
Doesn't seem to be much you can't do with a lathe a mill, and a little creativity. Rebalancing mandatory of course.
And 800 with a 62/74 is very possible.
I take that back, CR yes, 12 valve no.
I'm still not set on the CR lasting like a 12 valve. There have been WAY to many horror stories.
I'll stick to my 12 valve.
I know and have heard the 12v is bulletproof but have also seen alot of CR's make big power and still be reliable. What kind of horror stories have you heard? Is it all having to do with 1 or 6 pintons melting down? Rods snaping?
Go through the 3rd gen forum and this one and read up on people melting the CR's, there not just taking out 1 and 6 pistons either. There's a lot more than people think.
Rods snaping?
Blood in the water, the vendors are circling. Suddenly a credit card strays from the school. Mayhem, and charge madness. Quick as it started, it is over. The winner rings up the sale. Mother economics in all it's savage fury. Tune in next week when we air "The cry of the wounded injector".

I heard the name was being changed from CR to CF, for common failure.
