Who runs the 4K tune?

Sending my adrenaline in to get fixed and maybe a 4k tune. Is it worth it? My board is already ready so i wont have to pay anything but shipping.
 
I tried it when I had mine... barely made it to 3400 before it would started popping and cutting out. That was almost 2 years ago though, so hopefully they have it fixed.

For the record, both the Drag Comp and TST Comp both would hit 36-3700 smooth as glass, so it wasn't my pump.
 
Are you getting the new 4k board put in it? I didn't think you could run any tune other than the 4k with that model. At least the email flyer I got about the new 4k adrenaline made it look that way.

I have a 4k ready board, like i said on my previous post. I dont have to pay a dime to have the 4k tune put on my box.
 
Once a 4k ready board gets the upgrades all it can run is the 4 k tune
 
i'm runnin a redline but am considering 1 of these cuz they "dynoed" more hp/tq

Entirely different board. Quad was trying to do it without a check engine light. Some trucks would, othrs wouldn't. With the new board, he takes over the vp44 same as a redline box. Gauranteed 4k+ now...if your pump will do it. I am loving this new box, sold my redline already.

Sorry but that's not entirely true. I owned that adrenaline clay has and had it sent off to be fixed by quad and they put the 4k ready board in it and it can be run with any of the beta tunes, but not the old tunes.
 
So if I send my adrenaline off to get upgraded to the 4k board, can I still change the fueling parameters via the pulse to make my own tune, or am I limited to only the 4k tune parameters?
 
I wish I would have known this earlier today. I just sent mine out to get fixed. I would have got the 4k tune with it. I'll try calling them tomorrow about it.

Im pretty sure you can change everything even the rev limiter now on the 4k stuff.
 
hope its a little smoother than the redline. but post up some videos guys. i've seen one guy with his on CF and seems to be ok. be he's runnin a so vp44. i'd like to try it with my monsterpump.

That is NOT correct.

Once it is turned into a 4K box you can only run tunes that are made for the 4K box. NONE of the tunes on the website right now can be run on a 4K box.

If there is still any confusion let me know.

With the Pulse you can still make your own tunes and still mess with tuning parameters.

You will also be able to set your RPM limit with the next Pulse update.
 
Well then your guys lied to me cause they flat out told me that the board in my box was 4k ready and that I could run the beta tunes but nothing else. Doesn't matter to me anymore as I ppumped but to clay it does. You should have his box before to long if he sent it off and will be able to tell if the board is a 4k board or not. Clay now owns my adrenaline.

Ok, well i called and spoke to Jeremy PERSONALLY and gave him my serial number. He said it wouldnt cost me a dime to put the 4k tune on because the board is ready. So either you dont know what your talking about or Jeremy doesnt. I remember it quite well.
 
I think you guys are missing the point. Some boards are 4k ready and those are free to upgrade to the 4k tunes, the other older boxes ( can't remember te serial number) are not able to be modified to run the 4k tunes hence why they cost you to get the upgrade. But even if you have a 4 k ready box does not mean you can just download the 4k tune. It does need to be sent in and modified. This is just a mix of what I have read on quads site and from posts of qzilla.

I don't even own one.
 
There is two different 4k set-ups. The older ones that can be ran with the beta tunes. This one is the ones that everybody had problems with there trucks shutting off.

The other is a complete new product where they change the board to make it work just like the redline. There is a certain serial number and above that has the newer boards already that they can modify for it. I believe this is a one time shot and no other tunes will be able to be put on it. They do what they need to and thats it.
