Who runs the 4K tune?

This is correct. The old boards were thought to be capable of 4k and some of them were but to get a consistent 4k they had to change something which is a free upgrade but you can't run other tunes (like the comp, torque, etc.). Personally the 4k is stronger and doesn't surge much at all so I don't know why you would want to. You can still change things via the pulse but you can only run the 4k tune.
 
Clay, I thInk that it's safe to say that quad knows a little about a box that he built. The real qustion for me here is why are You wondering about the 4k?? I think that might be considered assisted suicide if you tried running 4k on a stock truck...

Cause you have a rev limiter setting on the 4k setup. And springs really arent that pricey. Also me and Tyler both got told the box was 4k ready, like we both said......If its a free upgrade then i could careless what they do with it. And whats wrong with wondering? I have wondered alot of things on this truck.
 
do you think i could run the 4k box with auto for pulling or do you think it would be hard to get the rpms that high if you guys get what im tryin to say

u should be able to. i dont see why not. if ure tranny is built tough
 
I should mention i did not mean to come off as rude as i was in a few posts. Altho i was told my board was 4k ready, but i understand the situation now. Quad you should get my box tomorrow i sent it off today ups.

If i want the 4k tune do i have to send in my monitor as well?

Nope, just update the pulse with the 4k tune and you are good to go.
 
I believe you can run up to 4500 rpm I've heard? I thought with the Pulse you just need the USB update to run the 4K tune and didn't have to upgrade to the new monitor?
 
wonder wat a adrenaline 4k stacked with redline would do........ i can hit over 4 with the redline. but would still like to see this setup since it did dyno more on justin's truck

When Quad was originally making the tune it would go to about 4300 or so but after he got it dialed in to work he put a rev limiter in it so that it would stop at about 4050 or so.
 
The big deoge u running a redline unlimited i got one an i can pull 4580 under load on the dyno look into getting the unlimited mode on it im running the monster pump as well
