Why high fuel pressure on P7100?

Pure Flow (AirDog) has an upgrade spring to run 45psi for a 12v.

I just had a spur of the moment, and shimmed it. I am ordering one next week. I dynoed today and only dropped to 45psi at WOT, from 50psi idle.
