will 2nd gen head interchange with a storm block head?

Hi guys I have a friend with a 97 12 valve and a cracked head was wanting to
know if a 12valve head off of a 12v storm block motor out of a heavy truck
application would interchange with the dodge application head? I'm worried
about coolant or oil passages that would possibly be different, or possibly
something else that we would run into that would make this a difficult swap. Any
body with any info on this would be greatly appreciated. :thankyou2:
 
yes and to some i believe its a better head. search a little in here and the dodge performance section there is a lot of discussions on this head and the storm block

The head will fit just fine. You friend should be ahead and replace on the head what he can. Heads that are made by IH (Storm) have different valve seats though.
 
A 2nd gen 12 valve doesn't have valve seats from the factory. Do the storm block motors have valve seats or were you referring to the area where the valve makes contact with the head?
