Feel free to look around in the other forums in the Tech section...89-93 and 94-98. I did a "simple search" in the 1st gen forum for "pump swap", and there were plenty of posts that answered the question if those parts would work (ie, timing case).
The search function does not like short words, but you can easily search for less than three words.
I'm not sure I fit in the "Know-it-alls" category, but if you come out and say that you read all these pages and you still have simple questions, they/we find it difficult to believe that you did indeed read all those pages. There is a lot of info on this site to absorb - not all of it is exactly where one thinks it might be.
