Won't start after egr delete

Ok so I went to te shop tonight I turned it over it stated getting a knock an coming up in rpm's and finally started but it ran horrible and kept the knock it ran for 2-3 minutes and died. I can turn it over has the hard fuel knock and it slowly picks up I can let the key go when it reaches the second bar on the tach and it will pick up just a little able the bar sound to clean up slightly and drop down an die... Could this be the icp stopped up or screen in the icp broke??
