I'm helping a friend build his truck for work stock and so far we've done studs, 5x15s, d.v. 4k springs, a manifold and a 3000 for a turbo. Our work stock is stock turbo or up to a 59mm aftermarket. The trucks an single cab dually with a built 47 and 3.54 gears and has traction bars, suspension stops and hitch moved in. We builded with it for the first time Friday night and decided it needs 4.10 gears and lockers. What would be the next thing you all would do to it? I'd like to get all we can out of this small turbo til he gets a season of pulling under his built. The goal is 650hp. That's what the common rail that won Fridays putting down.

What's he ruining for tires, Hx or hy turbo, What gear is he using in the trans?

Bfg tires, it's an ats 3000 turbo, and he tried 3rd gear.

Not sure it's just what they limited work stock to if your not running a stock turbo
