A blind squirrel finds a nut and now they make fun of the other competitors in the article. Read the captions on the pics...

After reading the article I decided to detune my truck to 200hp, put street tires on, and gut it to get down to about 6000lbs so I can beat all the smoke belching, weight hanging, big tire pulling trucks.

Note-this was from back in 2002 but its still funny and I have never seen it.

I'm trading my smarty/mp8 stack for a power-pack-big-hoss-ottomind-pda bundle-six-gun. I wish I would have read this back in 02' -- it would have saved me lots of wasted cash on injectors, turbo, etc.

that was back in the day when Gale Banks was being quoted saying something like "My advice to those using nitrous is to get a better job and learn how to turbocharge"

That was BD's old truck, then Brandon in the Red truck, the Silver 4 by at the end that smoked a clutch is Jason Burton........dang that was an old articial from back when I first got started, think I was at about 275 hp then.

Anybody notice that the weight on the sled has moved a total of 5ft on the might 7.3.

If that truck did in fact win Im betting its inability to overpower the track is what saved it.
 
i think they put some drugs in the box with the banks six gun! Those guys ought to work in government! mighty fine bs work! :hehe::hehe::hehe:
 
I re-read the stupid article. It pisses me off that they cut down almost every other truck competing. I think banks needs to get a box full of dog crap mailed to them courtesy of Comp D.
 
That is just funny right there...looks like we all have the wrong idea on injectors, turbos, p-pumps, tuners, modules..etc..just throw on a banks and you can win anything...haha
