I have one of the large displacement York compressors that would work well as an onboard air compressor. Has a V-belt pulley, clutch works. Tore it down and spec'd the pistons, it is good shape. I have seen these used on 2nd gens for onboard air filling 20 gallon tanks, and keeping up with impact guns with the truck at an idle. Kilby Enterprises makes alternator pulley's and mounting brackets to mount this onto a 2nd gen, jeep and other vehicles. Just use a switch to control the compressor clutch supply power and a hobbs switch to determine cut in/cut out pressures. Or you could use the switch Kilby sells. $75 bucks plus the ride takes it...
