You guys with the ED 62/68/14..

E D, pls confirm or deny

Mike, they run into the low 50's before we start to see the temps getting out of hand. 46-52 is great.

I've heard recently in a second hand conversation that Borg Warner folks can't understand why many of us are using the 71 vs the 68. Supposedly a Borg Warner Tech/Sales guy at Schied last Summer said that the 71 is actually OLD technology and that the 68 would serve us better in that it spools better and flows/cools better.

So is this true??

i just put a 62/68/12 with race cover on mine he said it would handle 55lbs of boost i turned mine up to about 45 last night i running stock injectors with a edge comp box 5in exhuast dont have dyno numbers

Scott when we talked about your truck, 55 was where I suggested you keep it under. 46-52 is comfy. Injectors in your truck will hold you back from more power now.

There are a variety of turbine wheels in both of those sizes. The commonly used 71 wheel leaves room for some improvement yes. The two different 68 turbine wheels we use flow and spool well but it's not as black and white as " a 68 is better than a 71". The applications vary and the other supporting pieces in the charger build come into play when choosing what to run. Chris

Chris mine was still a vp. From what I read and saw my usb had the same wheel. My usb was built in 03 or 04

I'm sure it did, we have seen them. I wasn't disputing that, just saying the usb's could be seen in a few different configurations.

no such thing as a 69 turbine, there's the 65mm 11blade, 68mm 10 blade, 71mm 10 blade, and the 74mm 11 blade that's normally clipped.

Wes
Like I said I think mine is the 69 but I may be wrong.
