So I dropped the valve body to put an od/tcc solenoid on and found this. It looks to be rubbing on the front drum shell. Any ideas why it would be?

That's pretty common on lot's of them I've seen, the ring spacer on the intermediate shaft gets worn allowing the shaft and gear train to move toward the rear which lets the shell rub that screw or the OD case retainer slot gets sloppy allowing everything to move which allows the shell to rub that screw.

So just run it, or does it need addressed?

Without knowing a lot of other things it's hard to say for sure but this is really common.

Is the shell rubbing the rear drum as well?
Either way id tear it down and find the issue, could be as simple as the selective snap ring being incorrect or failed. Personal experience says to NOT just let it ride :Cheer:
