Just did an Ally conversion on my 07 5.9. I chose to keep an auto file in the truck so we could have a functioning range indicator and tow haul indicator which works great. I have gotten the truck to run code free by disabling all the stock 48re DTC's but the only issue now is the truck won't pull full fuel due to limp mode. Is there any table in the tune that maybe I'm missing that can help fix this?? Any help would be great thx.

I'm no help on the subject. How do you like the Allison behind the cummins so far? Are you runny the freightliner tcm? Sorry for the possible stupid question. Bump for ya.

This setup runs the medium duty TCM. And I love it. Truck is a dually and I tow quite often with it. I would recommend it to anyone.

I just run the manual ecm file
U might not be able to get all the limiters out of it

Yeah I'm runnin the manual file to get me by right now. I'd love to be able to crack it somehow to use the auto file with full fuel but time will tell. For the conversion stuff I got the engine adapter and Flexplate from diesel conversion specialists, and the TCM setup and harness from Jason at transmission tuner. Very knowledgable and well designed setup that is fully tuneable with efilive.

I use cummins Allison conversion
Plug in and go easiest setup I've used
Not tune able but doesn't need it

With the CAC setup, does the transmission still have the tow/haul mode?

Do you have the 6-speed allison? If so, does it also have the tap shifting?

High idle? Cruise Control? or are those a function of the ECM rather than the TCM?

Being able to tune the trans to my specific likings is huge. Even something simple as adding bigger tires. My setup works great and I'm using the manual ecm tune file. Like I mentioned. The only reason I'd like to crack the auto file to allow full fuel is so I can retain the factory range indicator. Not the biggest deal for myself but for anybody else that hops in the truck. Keeps it more like a factory system. Also I must add with mine I have a tow/haul mode as well as regular and a 6th cancel switch. The regular mode is set up almost like the Dmax's do with 5th and 6th lock. Not everyone wants to daily drive an aggressive program with 2nd and up lockup all the time with aggressive downshifts

It's pretty much tow/haul all the time
Everything works, cruise, high idle
