injector re-pop, some questions

Got a set of injectors Im cleaning up theyve been in the truck awhile and my fuel economy is horrible. found the timing had slipped so fixed that too.
Gonna try some 7x.009 148* against some 5x.012 155* and see what the economy difference is. Might not be really apples to apples with the spray angle and timing. Just had some questions about these injectors and setup was hoping some of you folks might have some input.

Does that 148* hit the lip of the piston at 22* and 290BAR pop?

when you are shimming injectors Im assuming you want the thin shims at the base of the injector and the stock heavy one against the spring?

when you are adding pop pressure to the injector to have them open at say 300BAR versus 260.. for every 10BAR thats what, 1/2 degree timing effectively? I did the timing with a light not a dial, so higher injector pop pressure may have made it read lower effective timing.

Interested in your results. My stock 350k miles injectors have got to be a big reason for my 15mpg average.
