trailer axle weight?

anyone know how much a 7K drop axle with brakes weighs? everything search comes up with the weight rating, not actual "shipping" weight.
 
Your question is too vague to answer with any certainty of accuracy. My recommendation is to get the tag number off the axle and call the manufacturer. You can get "guestimations" all day on here but I'd be willing to bet you can get an accurate answer from someone who knows in less than 30 minutes on the phone. Something as simple as wall thickness on the main tube could affect the weight drastically if you want any kind of accuracy.

figured out a way to weigh the one In the yard. 200lbs with no springs, and with brakes. springs are 18lbs a side. just wanted to estimate how much the trailer I am building will weigh when done.
 
yeah I wish I could afford the 8 or 10K ones. bought a wrecked trailer with good axles for less than I'd pay for one 7K.
