That truck belongs to or did belong to Shane Kellogg, that's what he was using to tote his pull truck around. The NASA has an underlying meaning.

Anything pre egr is ok, I believe 1 2 and 3 is software differences but I'm not 100%. The best one i drove was a 2 and the worst was a 4 fwiw.

Yea the last way I understood it, it was mostly software but I'm not a detroit guru which is why I'm asking. Lol
 
DDEC4 has the better pistons unless the 1 2 or 3 was rebuilt then it probably has 4 style pistons. 3 supposedly has a better cam from factory.
 
Ddec 1-2 have chit electronics from what I'm learning. Been told to stay away from them.
