Swole's Carnage AGAIN!!!!

Big Swole

MegaInterceptor
I simply have to laugh at this just to keep from Crying!!!!

YES, with less than 2500 miles on this build It is blown AGAIN!!!!!!:bang

I must be cursed or just simply have the worst luck of anyone!!!

I'm just gonna tell the story as it happened.....I'm not making insinuations as to the cause just yet cause I still have to finish the tear down.....What I mean is, I have no clue if it was a certain product or a combination...I will wait to see what Jeff thinks and determines as the cause..
Just read the story and feel free to offer up your thoughts and suggestions...

Ever since my last build (the one before this one) when I had that horrible rattle from what ever was causing it, I bought a PPE HOT+2 Lite Timing programmer to try....It was a good bit quieter and had Great street manners...It was also putting down some Awesome power....I still kept my Smarty and Had every intension's to do some testing at the track / dyno to see which made the most power....

Well, I ended up keeping the PPE on there and never got to test much...I made my best pass of 11.47@117 with it as well....Then the problems started with all the stuff I posted last time.....Ending with the freeze plug issue that eventually caused the Windowing of my Block......Ya'll know the story.....

On to this build.....Several folks Really helped me to get back up and running...This build was Very strong and seemed to be running very well....Once again it was with the PPE Hot+2 Lite Timing box......My best pass was the 11.22@120 with it......

Last Friday night I went back to the track and was ready to start doing the comparison testing with the PPE and Smarty......So, with approx 2500 miles on this build with ZERO issues and Plenty of WOT runs on the street and those 2 shake down pass two weeks earlier, The truck seemed to be running great!!

I made one pass on the PPE....Didn't get a good launch and had a slow 60 ft...but ran a 11.35@120.71 mph.......Good mph.......

Then I loaded the Smarty....I have TNT-R.......I put the setting on SW9, TM on MILD, Timing on #3 (for large aftermarket injectors), RP was on Stock, Shift Defuel OFF.........
So I figured I'd pick up a few ponies with the little bit of adding timing....

I get to the line (truck drove fine up to the stanging lanes)...Start to spool......As I get to about 10 psi the truck started sounding weird and sputtering a bit.....But I had just turned on my second bulb....So I figure I'll just leave the line and see what happens and shut it down if it doesn't feel right..(on it a split second of thinking , btw).....

I leave the line and it HAULZ A$$......I cut a 1.66 60ft. and ran 7.16@97 in the eighth....and 11.23@119.49 in the quarter.....

As I'm passing throught the light at the end, I felt something weird but I can't really discribe it........I start the shut down sequence....I turn my MP8 back down, Unlock the TC, and Turn it back to 2wd..........
I start coasting and the truck just Shut Off......I try to recrank it and it sounded Very Lazy to turn over....

Steam start coming out and I smell diesel Fuel...
I got out and popped the hood...
I see the Fuel line that goes from the T fitting and up to my top CP3 pump....It was Blown OFF.....It actually stripped the threads(pulled them out) on the fuel line nut.....I figure that I should be ok....I just had a pressure spike and I'll get a new fuel line...

Well Jeff comes down there and hears what it sounds like when I try to turn it over and says, " She's hurt Bad on the inside".....

I have it towed to the shop......I finally got down there today to diagnose...

Here is what I found!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bang:bang:bang:bang

Gonna cross my fingers its not real bad!

Damn man. I'm really sorry to hear that. I mean truly sorry. I can't believe this happened to you again. Good luck in getting it back on the road. Hopefully it didn't hurt anything else.

Posted before those pics were up, what does the piston look like?

(edit) I'm gonna wait till the pics stop coming

That really sucks dude!!!
gotta start pulling some double so you can pay for it!!
does the Garmon warranty extend to engines and drag racing and obvious abuse on a brother in law engine too?

Good luck!!
