Hot Lash, Cold Lash, and Valve Growth/Lash Changes???

... especially with the CR's OEM passive EGR lobes.

So you saying this may help more on CR trucks?

Or are you saying it will mess up a CR truck faster.

Come out with it, quit beating around the bush I know you know more than what your sharing.

Ok I will share my results. On my 03 CR I set the lash at .008 in and .010 ex

I have noticed much faster turbo spool throughout the RPM. My truck has always been a little laggy in the lower RPMs with alot of smoke 0-10psi wasnt to bad but getting from 10-15psi was though to do with out smoke unless I was up in the RPMs. Now it is smooth from 0-15 where the turbo is ready to go.

So over all, all around driveabilty is way better.

Sure - now the valves don't think the lobes are so pointy... :Cheer:

Any updates on how the tighter lash is working as a daily driver scenirio.

now this may be a dumb question but if you tighten em down some would it cause some piston slap up in the high rpm range and im talkin like 4000 to 5000 rpms and what if ur timing is bumped up quite a bit cause mine is at 20* and i dont wanna do this and then have problems with it

Think of how .010"-.020" lash ranges affect valve motion according to lobe profiles - duration at seat timing is often 90-100* more than advertised, and .020" ID & ED is ~20-30* more...

I set my valves to 8 and 15. stock cam, 180 12 valve. Approx. 100rpm initial spoolup difference

i think im gonna set mine to 8 and 15 today and see how it runs thanks!
