out of these 4 which one would you guess suggest? hope this works....Product Comparison Page

I've got a makita coming in the mail. I couldn't find a regular 3/8 impact of either the Milwaukee or makita here in town but found the impact drivers. If there's any comparison between the impact and the drivers the makita driver just felt better balance and weight wise. So i bought the makita.

I hadnt seen that rotary I gotta get one of those. I have the m12 drill hackzall impact and love em.

The 30min charge time is my favorite, but that one doesn't come with batteries or a charger. The milwalkuee Is a hr and a 5yr warranty vs's makitas 3yr.

Either would be fine. Id try to look a what's all avaliable by each brand or what you plan to buy. So the batteries will work.

Yeah those are the two i was looking at, im not trying to spend a ton of money on everything.

Milwaukee hands down. Then makita. Then 12V Dewalt(for small spaces) then the 18V Dewalt. I've never been a huge Dewalt fan.. They all have pros and cons though... This is a ford, chevy, dodge battle. It'll go on forever.

im starting to see that haha

Ok guys I want to start polishing my compressor housings and such.

What's a good ginder/sander/polisher? Can I get away with 1 or will I need a couple different types?

Thanks

how is the torque with that makita unit? I have a cordless one I bought from Canadian Tire here... it sucks,, wont even take the lug nuts off of my quad

Its rated at a little of 100ft/lbs. Its impressed me so far. I pulled some rusty lugs nuts off a box blade the other day, that probably hasn't had a tire changed in 4 or 5yrs. It didn't rip them right off but with som pb blaster it took em all off. This is by saltwater, so they were really rusty.

Don't waste your money on the Dewalt 1/2" cordless I have one and it sucks.

ok cool

glad to hear there is a good amount of torque. i dont want to buy one that i cant get some bolts off with. my boat trailer has some original bolts from the 70's and even with a torque wrench they wont move.

My buddies have the 1/2", I wanna say their rated at 300ft/lbs. Its pulled every tire I tried to remove.

Only problem is heavy as hell, its gotta weigh 15+ lbs.

Yeah it's heavy, the batteries don't last and it won't pull the tires or blades off our mowers. That's why we bought it 4 years ago

We have 2 of them and know a few others with them and had no problems cept I had a buddy snap one of his studs off putting a tire on.. They are 300 ft lbs max break out.

Maybe your was jacked up some how????

wow good price. and it has done everything to your standard so far? i.e. battery life/charging, torque, unit weight etc?
Yep charges quick, batteries last forever, its not heavy to me.

When it first came in I didn't even charge it, used it for a few days before charging it.

It has a nice bright led light so you can see what your working on. You should read some of the reviews on amazon, their really good. I was sold after reading them.

We have had 3 now replaced under warrenty. 1st just stoped working, and 2 motors burnt up all in less then 6 months. We just got a 3/8ths snap on that's twice as strong as the dewalt 1/2.

yeah i did, but then i did read the others (dewalt, Milwaukee etc.) and they looked good. I do like the fact that it has a light; im going to pick this one up, thanks man.

Your is the one with the rocker style trigger or is it the push button switch like the drills? I had a friend that had the non rocker style and it seemed pretty wimpy.

It's the rocker style. I just expected it to actually take off mower tires and such.

Good to hear, let us know how you like it. I've bought 3 more makitas since I got that one.
