Because 20cc piston volume plus 65 cc head volume plus a head gasket volume would give you almost 100% increase in combustion chamber air volume over what is being used today in diesel performance engines.... static CR will drop like a rock....about in half!

Especially if the camshaft is made and matched to the cylinder head flow...then it would get worse due to big duration, and overlap.

We have expiremented with this concept already and the volume above is way to much....But if you would like to try it out anyway, be my guest.
 
But at 565 ci you'd still have 12.42:1 which is more than a lot of pullers.
 
Interesting to see pics on the net. I saw one in person about a year ago and could not photograph it..it was a "Military Prototype"

I definitely did not have any logos on it. I was told as it sat that it was about 20k without the liners in it.
