madmikeismad's new build thread/HD Fab Truck

The solenoids run off of 12v, atleast my manual valvebodied 48 does. Here's the pin out Lavon sent me, it'll probably come in handy for ya. The 5v is probably just for the sensors.

So 1 is the 12v in, and 3 is just a ground? Then the 2 for OD/LU? 4 wires total to run it? Thats easy enough. Do I need to do anything with 5?

Thank you Will.

Even though I'm trying to sell it, Joe has kinda talked me into trying to have it ready to race this season, possibly in time for D4D. So I'm trying to get it running with the parts I have accumulated. I think the hood stack is all I have left to figure out. And the oil drain. At this point, it looks like it will be going nearly horizontal for a few inches, and that kinda scares me.

Managed to get the turbo mounted up finally.

I also have a question about running non-ic. How much power loss can be expected if I'm making 7-800hp from a billet/race cover 83/92/1.0 t4? If it's a crazy amount, I plan on throwing the a/w setup off the purple truck onto it, and returning the purple truck to stock ic (which was happening anyways).

Another question: The turbo has a 4.62" OD on the exhaust flange. The only vband flanges I can find are all 4.75. That would leave .065" overlap on the turbo housing flange. Before I bother borrowing one, would it have any problems sealing up?

No Worries if its a large enough drain. Had my PT106 completely horizontal (5" distance) for a year in a half with no problems.

I wouldn't worry about power loss. I would worry about keeping it running cool. Make sure it doesn't get hot or you will be scoring piston skirts. Should be ok if you have ample cool down time.

4.62" is a regular 4" v-band clamp. I would think it would seal if it aligns correctly.

I'll be using standard 3/4 oil drain/hose.

It will be plenty cool, using water still, slightly smaller radiator with 2 fans. Should be able to hot lap all day with the relatively lower power and weight I'll be running.

Will the 4.75 seal to the 4.62? Thats what I was trying to ask originally.
