There is a guy in IL (trying to remember his name) that pulls a P-pump 7.3 in the 3.0 class. He sells a kit to do the coversion. Was pricey last I heard, but doable. Course you can talk to BDP or Full Force as they seem to have plenty of fuel with their sticks.

But listen to the advice of others. Not saying it cannot be done, it has been, but it is a long road to travel.

If you are real serious, shoot me a PM. I am borderline ready to toss in the towel on mine for street driving and go a different route. Would be perfect foundation for pulling only setup. Lots of spare parts that I could package up as well (1 extra complete motor, 1 extra block and crank).

That guys name is Billy Zimmer and I will pm you the name of the guys and shop that made it all possible.

Damn that is just pure sexy, I don't care who you are.

Sorry but right now all I can say is.....

Time will tell

Thats the main reason why i decided to stay with a 7.3 instead of destroking, build the motor to the hilt, and wait for the developments to come along and then be one of the first new kids on the block :D

so I was thinking about this thread last night, a buddy of mine were screwing with my truck and he starts telling me about his buddy who knows a guy in santa rosa, ca that is building a 2,000hp 7.3.........:hehe:

dont take this one the wrong way but has any 7.3 busted the 1,000 hp mark?

I know a guy that is gonna stack Edge boxes to about 600 hp.

But he doesn't need gauges unless he gets injectors:hehe:

And EDP, man you have a way of making people want winter to get here!

I bet stroked out is pretty close, if not over 1000hp. But he is a cheater too I guess... darn mechanical pumps anyhow.... :(

If your comment is gonna be put a cummins in it, or a D-max, your post is gonna be removed. The title is "7.3 High HP build" not I want to swap motors build. If you don't have a reply other than Swap it, or don't build it, don't post cause its gonna be removed.

Most everything on top of that motor is 1-off custom stuff
My guess is the plexi valve covers are to keep an eye on fuelleaks. Having the high pressure lines completly covered would make me nervous.

I know what's up...and I can't wait to see what everyone involved comes up with.
Maybe I'll RE-Stroke my truck. :rockwoot:

so why now? The 7.3 has been out since 1994, but now all of a sudden winter 2008 the aftermarket is going to suddenly start looking at the 7.3???
