Most of them are just people who will never spend a dime with him but want info.....But he trys to help them anyway!!!

Not to break up the Dodge-fest, but just wanted to add that Jeff's great with an Allison too. He built mine a little while back, and I've towed around 12K with it every weekday, and made COUNTLESS runs at the track (and hooks to the sled) with 554 rwhp...has never missed a beat.
 
Just another comment.. I just got my trans in that Jeff built.. Needless to say, the truck feels faster than before.. The third gear shift is now very crisp like the 1-2 shift.. It ran a diesel only 11.71 pass on the previous trans. I will let everyone know the exact results.. The drag strip is closed here tonight because it's supposed to be around 40.. I'm anxious to make a pass.. Again, thanks Jeff..
 
has jeff done a fully built 68rfe yet. i need one now, but i have heard nothing but problems from other companies' "bullet proof" trannies. :bang
 
for those prices he sounds reasonable. I just got a 47RH built by Dave Goerend with billet shafts, a triple disc torque converter, modified valve body, BD pressure Loc, and a billet flex plate. great quality but i also had to pay for it. i got mine for $5195 and that was with about $1000 off the original price because me and a buddy ordered two complete trans at the same time. all good mechanics, trans builders, or anything like that are hard to get ahold of, but usually once you get in contact with them they are more than happy to take care of any problems you have... especially if it is with one of their own products.
 
depends on what your idea of high is. Anywhere you go, you're looking at around 7K for a full competition built trans. I believe Garmons are just under 7K but, it all depends on what you have done.

I thought I remembered reading a while back that he wouldn't touch the 5R anymore...but that might have been a different tranny builder...

Let us know, I'll be needing a new trans soon too!

Actually he does, but I just don't think he prefers too...

Mainly cause everything else on Ford's are so hard to work on and get to...But he will do it..

My war with the dealership is not over yet though, am going to try to and get a free one before investing 6k - I was more so answering for the guy with the 08 6.4

told me he wouldn't touch a Ford transmission. I had 2 guys wanting work done and they had to go elsewhere

He just doesn't like 'em

He'll do it but I think its the guys that drive to his shop and get in his face....I guess he feels guilty if he turns them away!!! lol

I see ford there from time to time...
