1 of the stages of nitrous was NOT working. The solenoid was fried. Its got MORE! Did you see all the smoke? LMAO!

The rods are still stock too. This poor truck has been beat on pretty hard. Its still an old 5.9 with 50K or so on the clock
ha ha yeah i saw the video of the nitrous run. still had alot of smoke. we had one solinoid go bad on us at the shop and he changed it out. guess we might have to think about going to a different solinoid as this is not the first time we couldnt get all the nitrous to work. those BFI you sent him sure work. congrats again Reb.

It has made more on Diesel in the past years, but was not set up to go big Diesel numbers for this event.

It still has a single turbo without a wastegate:rockwoot:

This truck is looking for max power using a single with nitrous, but there are twin turbo plans for it in the future. That will help the Diesel numbers.

he has lots left in that old tired out motor. i bet 1400 to 1500hp is not that far away for him.

probably doesnt even spool without the nitrous. thats an insane amout of power. id surely be happy with half that. congrats

i beg to differ lol. that truck is crazy on just fuel alone. you would be very very surprised how well that turbo spools in his truck. its a decent single , cant give specs, but wow that truck is crazy. i believe it made 700 plus on just fuel but that will soon change.

645hp on fuel alone is crazy?

BTW is this the same truck that did the 1/8 mile dirt drag at Tulare?

No, this is the truck that dynoed in las vegas, 2wd. I had the tuning for NOS. Its way too smoky for diesel only. The first run didn't have the power all the way up. I think its important to warm the truck on the dyno with a good diesel only run before adding the rest of the fuel and NOS. Those cylinders need to be warm to make and hold power. I think the drop in the graph came when the tires broke loose. It was pretty crazy, people were running for their lives. The power comes on so fast with the NOS. I need to run a bore scope and see what rods are in this truck. Its got 56K on the original short block. I think the reason for the short block holding is because some early low HP 03 trucks had the old 24V rods instead of the cracked, powdered metal rods. Truck still keeps on running, I'm real happy with it. It was a lot of fun meeting new friends in ID, sorry i had to roll so fast, 750 miles away and i still wanted to check out the Cabelas in Reno.

Reb your truck has the power and all but let me tell ya buddy, its no intense bubble gum blue duallie VP truck ha ha ha. see ya in a couple days buddy.
