12V Engine project vol.2

The boost and DP on the road. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUxA4pcN4s0"]boost and drive pressure - YouTube[/ame]
I have 3,55 gear and 35" tires.
Because is winter and we have some snow, I have not run it over 3000+ rpm yet.

Upper gauge(0..100psi) is DP and middle(0..100psi) one is boost. The lower is EGT

And some problems are occur.First, I think I cut too much off from the head in the intake manifold side. Now the one side valve cover sealant is staying in the intake manifold flange (2..3 mm). I used silicone to seal the intake manifold to head. Well it was bad idea or wrong silicone. The silicone was blew off and all the pressure was blew inside the valve cover. It didn't look very good under the hood after that. The oil was everywhere. Now I took the intake manifold off and will O-ring it.
In the same run I broke my S475. There was a little side play and the turbo was barking badly. I let the throttle off and heard bad noise from the turbo. I open it and saw the blade was hitting the side wall.
I order new cartridge from US and now I have to wait to get it. I also bought a new billet wheel for S475( thanks to Weston). In the mean time I was thinking to upgrade my He351ve. And instead of that I purchased a He451ve(comp 92/62 turbine 75(76)/67 with billet wheel). Now I have to figure out how in hell it will fit under the hood. Also I have to make new piping. To avoid turbo barking I also purchased the mechanical blow off valve from JGS.

Sometime I wonder is my mental health is normal. I got drive my truck about 2500 km. Hell those was greatest and funniest km ever and some how I already feel to upgrade it. :bang :kick: :poke:

Since almost all parts I need is arrived I can start to put truck back together.
New hot and cold side piping is ready. Have to make piping from turbo to intercooler. Intake manifold flange has O-ring now.
Find out the place where to put the JGS blow off valve.
Also to make more room for piping I removed all the AC system.

Im liking your build  i think i may do a twin setup almost exactly like yours when i get my primary. Glad to acutally see someone take some pictures of there vgt/s400 twin setup :rockwoot:

Thanks.
Today I find some time to build my truck. Timing is 22 degree now and the upper turbo will get water cooled.
Well it's almost ready now.

Upper turbo has got cooling lines and the Blow off valve with regulator has been placed.
Now I have to make air filter 90 degrees adapter and air cylinder holding bracket.
Then I hope it's ready to go.

I made all missing parts today and now the truck is running.
There is lot of tuning to do to make this set up works good.

I heard the monster is back in running condition and now it's faster than before.:woohoo:

Only one week for fine tuning before next week race

Yes it's running again. I add the air kill switch just in case. I have to figure out how to control it. At the moment I have to shut it down manually. Also made some traction bars.
Made some AFC mods for better fuel control. Now I have to adjust the smoke screw and find the best options. And I already realise that its not that simpli.
Also I think I have to swap some other spring on it, when I want to keep the low rpm fueling more down.

So when are you going to get a chance to race your truck? It looks very impressive!

So when are you going to get a chance to race your truck? It looks very impressive!

I lost OD when testing my truck. So soon as I get parts from US I can fix it. The turbos won't work very well. I think HE351ve will open to much and too early. Won't build boost over 60 psi. Lots of testing to do.

Just for correction , currently he have He451 instead He351 :kick:

Yeah, too much day/night work. It's like Astross told HE451ve not HE351ve.
The spool up difference compare he351ve and he451ve is 200 rpm. He351ve starts 1500..1600 rpm and the he451ve starts 1700..1800rpm in my twin set up.
So like I say there is lot of tuning to do, to make it run good. Currently I don't have any time or ideas how to adjust it. :banghead: :nail:
