Well the new just arrived items are not shiny- they are black (Drive Pressure Particle Trap from JGS)
But they look awesome.

Your P-Pump, belt tensioner and alternator needs polishing, this way it looks ugly like hell :poke:

If I only had more time. I hope I can start the engine tomorrow night or saturday. Little bit of work have left to do.

Little work has done. And first attempt to start the engine as well. Because I was removed the pump pin (what hold the pump in right position) too early the pump was in wrong position. So when I start the engine the garage was full with blue smoke. :bang :bang and the engine did not shut down even when I remove the fuel pump fuse and disconnect the shutdown solenoid. So there was some panic.
Then I figured out that the new shutdown solenoid is not moving to the lowest position. So I just pull it down.

Today I running the camshaft in. And put new oil to axles and transfer case.
Also moved the truck few meters inside the shop, all the gears seems to be work. No oil or water leaks. Tomorrow I have to find 5" hose to connect the air filter. Then I can run the truck out of my garage and start figured out how to control the VGT with my bimba air cylinder.

After five months the truck was on the streets again for a short test drive.
Everything was ok until the boost went the 60+ psi. Then BOOOM. One hose went off. Tomorrow I will replace this hose with 3" V-band clamp. Then I can test drive again.

Before going to a vband I would try welding a bead around the pipe, that will give something for the clamp to bite against. Maybe a little hairspray on the boot too.

If that still doesn't hold add a removable brace so that the boots and clamps are not having to hold the pulling force, only the pressure. Vibrant Performance ::.

Like that, but doesn't have to be as fancy. A piece of flat stock with some holes works just as well as that.

But why not vband at once? Vibration? I have hoses connecting pipes to the intercooler. So there is a room to move.

The air cylinder seems to work. Boost will open and back pressure will close.

I think I have to adjust the governor springs. Currently it wont accelerate smoothly so I think a few clicks tightening will make it better? or there some better ideas?

Some more test drive. Very bad testing conditions( road was very slippery)

Yesterday I had chance to test drive Wagoneer's truck.

For me it was impressive how good the throttle response is, almost not lag at all and the VGT cylinder is at besic setting , no adjustments yet.

He have to do lots of testing to get the VGT correctly adjusted.

My motivation is high, to test few VGT turbos on my truck

Few pictures of my air cylinder setup. Also I finally received new gauges and install them today. It took 4 weeks to get the gauges from USA.:bang
After driving one week I felt some low rpm power loss and saw lots of black smoke in low rpm. I found out that air cylinder was stuck to the open position (turbo vanes was fully open all the time). The reason is in the last picture :lolly: The trap was full of ice.
Is it normal to get that much of condensed water in the trap?
