Your ignition looks to be on. FYI before that kills the batteries.
Just curious but why not start with an older non cad axle from a ford or some thing?
I was thinking more for getting rid of the cad cutout. I suppose it wouldn't be hard to get the tube out either in the same sense.
That side might end up with a new axle tube
Made it down to dows shop to drop off the Dana 44, pick up the stock front/rear axles, and finally sold my factory bed.
Pulled the factory steering column, t case lever bezel/boot, and shifter mount. Next project will be removing the noise/heat dampening material off the floor.
