Another race in the South?

Between the two diesel racing organizations we only have two races in the South Central area of the US one from each organization. Both races are in Dallas and we have nothing else even remotely close to the South Central area. Arizona and say Florida are the closest. A good group of fast trucks have popped up around here recently that want to race. How many of you guys would commit to attend another race in the South Central area if we actually had another? Numbers talk and could change minds..... Not asking for something in our backyard just consideration of an event somewhere South Central ISH????

I am in obviously and I will get the wife to run the tow rig. There is one in PS and one in QD. Don't know who will watch the kids but will figure that out later :hehe:
 
Well I would for sure. And I had mentioned to the folks at Gulfport Dragway about the possibility of doing one there. They were pretty excited about the idea. That just put down concrete to the 330' mark too. And it's right by all the Gulf Coast casinos. Just sayin'. :D

Well guys you got a long way to go I only count four guys on here wanting more races. Our budget is set with the events we have planned backed by the sponsor's funding.

Any new events would need to be self supporting from local businesses or sponsors along with a track wanting to donate time on their track.

I'm working on another approach but it will surround the Dallas area, plus you still have the Tx Diesel Shootout group!

To have a diesel only drag race at a rented track is estimated $15-25,000 depending on purses! I feel your need but as you can see it takes a lot of planning and funding to do these.

Call me if want to discuss local possibilities.
 
I can get about 30 trucks to show. We have a small group of us the travel together. Mo, Ok and Ar. Money needs to be right!

I've thought about it several times! LOL I'd probably make it open to all trucks (including gassers) just to be safe. I may look into it a little more.

We got much more than four give us more than a night to respond! Plus if event is slightly North of us we should bring more states than just Texas. Check that NHRDA Ennis thread is looking good on the truck count.

Well okay you have a few trucks, now the important part - funding the event?

Any sponsors down your way willing to part with funds to do an event?

Then what track after finding the funding?

Diesel only or test-n-tune night with gassers?

Sorry I only check our threads, don't have the time to cruise others too much!

And what about the TX Diesel guys in Houston? Are guys supporting them or you part of them?

So did you bring 30 trucks over in October to our last event and bringing 30 over to the Enis event?

Great support for Diesel Motorsports if you did!
 
Was not there last year. Just started pushing this year with events and helping Prescott raceway get diesel events started. We travel alot because there are no events around so mabe everyone could help each other by going to each others events for a bigger turn out! We do have many 10 sec trucks in our group.

Would they be interested in a point series race where it's them and a couple of other tracks that you guys travel to on a monthly basis within the two or three state area?
 
Yes. Jackie owns prescott's track and Mitch owns rogersville Mo track. Let me know if I can help.
 
Im in OK, giving the fact I have the days off for the events I will come to the closer races.
 
What are the dates in Texas? I've have dates for rogersville mo(6 races)Prescott Ar(6 races) but none for Tulsa?
