Bio Diesel VS Petroleum, 6.7L mpg

I have run B100 in my 6.0 power stroke and now my 07 5.9 and both got worse mpg then #2 diesel .Bio has a lower btu rating than #2 so gal for gal it makes less power ,but it burns more effiently and cleaner.
 
running my first tank of b20 im my 08.. so far its about the same by where the fuel gauge sits vs the mileage.
my wife gets about 2 mpg better on b5 in the 91. ill switch her to b20 after doing a seal kit on the pump this weekend.

my 2001 gets better mileage till about the 45% mix. i used to make bio. 40% is where the mileage vs cost seemed to part ways. i got 15 running about a 90% and 21 while on b20 mix.
 
Bio in mine was about 2 mpg lower. Ran it for about 3 months to get a good calculation. I was losing about $15-$20 a tank running it. Also was a nasty fuel filter. I won't run it again unless I have to. That was from the pump. Never ran any homebrew.
 
bio will clean out any crud in your fuel system, its normal to have a dirty filter after running bio for the first few tanks.
