Just hook the sensors back up if you want every thing to work correctly.

Yes but, the pink isnt very accurate for timing adjustments. The cam sensor relocation bracket uses the timing pin bolt holes and you just ream the timing pin hole over some.

So i could leave the pump and its gear alone. just slide out the cam to do this?

look to see how much room you have with power steering pump off

The tone ring on the cam gear has slots in it all the way around... except for one spot where its solid. Thats the spot the sensor picks up so it knows where the engine is at...
