Fuel or oil in P-pump? Few other questions...

what one do i add a spring to? The spring closer to the front of the truck or toward the back?
 
The return springs I have go from a bracket below the timing pin to the throttle lever at the back of the pump. Can attach two springs there. I only run one, but with a real sensitive throttle, two works well. You can get different tension springs as well. The conversion kit I bought came with 4 or 5 springs. Not sure where they all disappeared to now.
 
Timing will help with the haze a little bit. What is your timing set at now?
