What, you do want single switch for fans? Use remote for light controls? So you can loose the dang remote, or break it and be screwed.
And cans...how 2001
That was a engineering spec i didnt even notice since the shop is for me and the house is for herI like how you do 3 switches in each room. One for can lights, one for fan light, and one for fan. My kind of wiring right there.

well kinda the house was free from most the price increase but the shop got caught on some of it. As for the floor heat i was going to mimic the house floor heat but mine has taken a different turn i got a free hot water heater so it may be using that for heat not sure yet.Glad to see you are making some progress again. Hopefully you were able to purchase your lumber before the price went to the moon. Did you figure out your heat source for the floor?
agreed :Cheer:Three switches. Yes. 2001 or not. Screw remotes and batteries and those dayum pull chains. A spec grade toggle and a 14 awg wire never fails. op:
just like outlets add them everywhereI never can understand why customers refuse to add the 2nd fan switch. If your running a 14/2...why not run a 14/3. A switch never gets lost or has dead battery. Can't stand remotes. I have more service calls due to remotes than anything these days

I added a 400amp service to the house and a backup generator also added a hot water spikit for outside tooExactly! Lights and outlets, add them now.
So many inexpensive fixtures out there today with fantastic performance. Why not add them.
Check out some of the 4in-6in disk lights out there these days. The globalux 6in gets my vote. We install about 5k a year with no issues. They cost like $9.50 each and have no driver on back. Which means you can install on pancake box if needed. Also, they are wet location rated, meaning you can use in showers and tub areas as well.
Looking great btw. In for progress
For record by first response to jory was agreeing that 2 switches for each fan is way to go. Autocorrect got me.
I installed motion switches in all the bathrooms and couple of other closets since kids don't turn Chit offI converted every switch in my house to Lutron Caséta. Control everything with your phone or set it for full automation. An absolute must if you have a wife or kids as they can never turn switches off. IDevices make some nice wifi outlets, I use them for block heaters in the winter. No more heading to the shop to plug trucks in on Sunday evenings.
